Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. May also review vendor capability to support product development.

JOB PURPOSE:    

To provide application support to customers. Specifically working with customers to ensure the successful integration of Skyworks isolators & circulators into the customer application.

To provide engineering support to sales/marketing, CEMs, QA and purchasing on related issues.

To design and develop ferrite isolators/circulators to customer specifications.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

Application support to customers to ensure the successful integration of Skyworks isolators & circulators into the customer application. Travel to customer sites will be a requirement.

Design and development of new ferrite products.

New product introduction support to CEMs.

Timely delivery of engineering samples and prototypes.

Follow relevant design procedures and adhere to ISO-9001 and Skyworks Quality Management Systems requirements.

KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:    

RF circulator & isolator design experience.

Good understanding and working knowledge of RF test equipment.

Low power measurements using Network analyzers

High power measurements using high power amplifiers, spectrum analyzers, power meters and signal generators

Good knowledge of RF & Microwave theory.

Ability to apply engineering principles and working knowledge to a range of difficult problems that require imaginative and practical solutions.

Proficient knowledge and experience with CAD.

Assembly (including soldering) skills associated with rf circulators & isolators.?    Good analytical skills and troubleshooting skills.

Good interpersonal and communications skills.

Ability to work well in a team environment.
